PSYCH702: Formative Assessment/Short Answer In what ways may complex social issues influence the cognition, behavior and mental health of individuals? In your response, you must:

Identify and explain a social issue or unjust social system; cite relevant research, as needed. Explain at least three potential effects of that unjust social system or issue on an individual; support those effects with research. Discuss critical or double consciousness as it relates to the issue Examine the role of knowledge v power as it relates to the issue Explore one potential “solution” to the social issue; use research to support the proposed solution.
