Community Needs Assessment: Article Review Assignment Guide for Counseling

Each student group will produce five article reviews. The articles have to be published within
the recent five years in either textbooks or academic journals. These articles include topics in
these areas:
(1) Community Needs Assessment;
(2) establishing and operating a counseling private practice, agency practice, or mental health
related entities;
(3) advocacy social justice for the client;
(4) advocacy for the client;
(5) various types of consultation.
The paper should be written under APA format (Abstract is not needed). Grading criteria include
APA format, overall content description, specific strengths and weaknesses, recommendation
for its usefulness to the counseling profession, etc. Each paper should be at least 3 pages (not
counting title page and reference). Please submit the papers to Canvas by the due day. Each
group should submit once for a paper (one of the group members submit the paper for the
