DISCUSSION A – CAPSTONE FIRST DRAFT – INITIAL WORKING DRAFT FOR PEER FEEDBACK
DISCUSSION
In this activity, learners will provide an initial working draft of their finalized Capstone Project (including the conclusion section) paper by Wednesday and receive feedback from their peers by Friday.
Discussion of your peers’ initial capstone draft
Follow these steps this week as you share the initial first draft for your capstone project/paper:
- Post your rough initial first capstone project (including conclusion section) draft in this discussion forum by Wednesday as a document attachment.
- Provide thorough feedback to at least two other members of your discussion group by Friday. Refer to Peer Feedback Guidance on how to engage with your peers’ work constructively.
- Note: Post the final version of your capstone first draft in this week’s assignment for instructor grading and feedback.

- Your first response is due by Wednesday at 11:59 pm MT.
- Your responses to at least two other posts are due by Friday at 11:59 pm MT.

DISCUSSION B – PREPARING FOR THE WEEK 10 PRESENTATION

Discuss preparing for your Week 10 presentation
With this discussion activity, we will fast-forward to Week 10 in which you will present to your peers on your capstone project highlights. The presentation is a favorite of many capstone seminar students as it provides an opportunity to talk about some of the struggles and main learnings from throughout this quarter. Let’s talk about: How are you planning on delivering the final presentation? Will you use Microsoft PowerPoint with Zoom, only Zoom, etc.? Do you plan on creating an outline of talking points, a transcript, or any other supporting tools?
Follow these steps this week:
- By Friday, share your current thoughts on how you will prepare your Final Presentation in Week 10
- Software tools to use
- How to select highlights from your capstone project paper for inclusion in the presentation
- Storyline to engage your audience
- Format and style
- Audio track
- Other aspects of presentation preparation and delivery
- Provide thorough feedback to at least two other members of your discussion group by Sunday. Refer to Peer Feedback Guidance on how to engage with your peers’ work constructively.
