Assessment 2- Global Case Analysis – SCM
Assessment 2: Global Case analysis – SCM (Group assessment) | 20% written report plus 10% presentation (in-class) | Week 7 | 2500 words (or equivalent) + 15 mins group presentation |
Part A: Written Report (20 marks)
Context/Description:
Case studies have been provided with Global SCM (Supply Chain Management)scenarios. Students are to use the case study analysis method to answer questions related to the case(s). Students need to demonstrate not only the required set questions in each case but also provide analysis and recommendations.Students need to use contemporary contextual aspects related to the respective case scenario(s).
Selected case study(ies) for each group will be made available on BUS607 Moodle site under the Assessment-3 brief. Students are required to identify, assess, and critically evaluate the required questions provided relating to the case along with extended contemporary analyses and recommendations. Students must use additional sources and references to support the case analyses. Use in-text referencing and a reference list.
The written report is due to be submitted by Sunday end of Week 7, 11:59 pm. This is to be submitted via the Turnitin similarity-checking link.
Instruction on group member’s contribution:
All group members are expected to contribute equally to completing the group tasks. All things being equal, therefore, all members of the group would get the same mark for the group reports. There will be a group self-select link on the Moodle page.
Part B: Presentation(Weighting 10 marks)
The group presentation is in the form of a PowerPoint presentation of 15-20 PowerPoint slides. This is a mix of visual representations of contents, data, and images to build an argument on the required analysis and critical evaluations of the selected case scenarios.
The group will consist of Maximum of 4 members. To form the groups, students can self-select the group by using Moodle facility. The 15-20 minutes presentations will be presented by students using the PowerPoint in-class.
Feedback
Marks and feedback with comments will be provided to students. These will be made in Turnitin. Rubrics will be provided for both written reports and presentations providing marking criteria. This will be used to mark and provide feedback to students.
