Topic Sentence: The Roman Empire turned out to be one of the most venerable civilizations that accomplished legendary feats in the area of power, warfare, legislation, art, and construction.

Founded in 27 BCE and dissolved in the year 476 CE in the western half, while the eastern half, known as the Byzantine Empire, persisted for more years.

Evolved from Europe, North Africa and the Middle East and created a complex system of rules for governing its people.

Thesis Statement: Recall that the main goal of the historical analysis of the subject is to define the historical, cultural, and social situation in which the Roman Empire rose, the opportunities favorable for its evolution, the main achievements, and the causes that led to the society’s deterioration and Empire’s decline.

II. History of the Roman Empire

Topic Sentence: The subject in focus, in this case, is the Roman Empire, which seems to have boasted of expansion, complexity of governance, and disintegration.
