Students will select one of the provided Native Title cases to assess the strengths which support how Aboriginal cultural connection to land was maintained and provided/s positive Native Title outcomes.

Students will conduct research on their selected case to highlight some of the key issues. Students will need to identify understand Indigenous Terms of References and its impact on strengths and weaknesses with the case study. Explore the Native title laws associated with the case study and provide general discussion. Strong marking would come from discussion of how the Indigenous parties utilised these to support cultural protocols throughout the events. What you have learnt so far with the unit should provide the direction of the work and conduct research on the selected case study to highlight some of the key issues. Students should also identify and focus on 3 to 5 critical issues within the case study, and provide analysis of how solutions were managed.
