After reading the article “Grief Reactions Over the Life Span”, analyze how infants, children, adolescents and adults vary in their understanding of and coping with death.

In your analysis describe how one would cope with the death of a parent; as an adult describe how you would cope with the death of a spouse. Discuss the different reactions to grief and loss.
As you describe how infants, children, adolescents and adults understand and deal with death, substantiate your answer by citing at least three theorists/concepts (Piaget, Erikson, and/or Vygotsky) that explain why a child would react this way at this stage of development. When you compose your answer, specify the age of the child, adolescent, and adult that you are analyzing.
For example, in your analysis of a child you choose to analyze a 5-year-old boy. You decide that one part of your answer is how a child in Piaget’s preoperational stage of development would view death. Or, perhaps you analyze how a child in Erickson’s Initiative vs. Guilt stage of development would interpret death.
