final assignment | My Assignment Tutor

This week, you will work hard at bringing all of the elements you have focused on throughout the course together into one final assignment. You have looked at interoperability, theories, practices, datasets, analysis, tools for analysis, and security. However, this assignment will push you to learn to make new inferences from two or more datasets and the big data integration theories and practices.

Using two datasets (you can use those provided in the resources or you can select two big datasets of your own—note they must meet the official requirements of big data and not just a database), use tools to generate new information. You can use something as simple as Excel or MS Access, or any of the tools you find online or listed in the week’s resources.

Take datasets that had previously not been associated with one another, filter out specific demographic information, and correlate two datasets. Document the process you undertake getting the information and any obstacles you run into. After you overcome those obstacles, describe the methods you took to do so. Then, create your new knowledge or information. What did you learn or correlate that had not previously been associated? What types of companies, social good, or industries may benefit from this information? What assumptions and limitations did you have to make to perform your analysis?

Based on your experience manipulating the datasets, provide a discussion of additional theories or practice that are needed in the field of big data integration. Research and study existing big data integration theories and either propose additional theories for research or add to an existing theory. Discuss how these new theories or a revised theory would aid the field and organizations as they learn how to fully integrate big data into the organization.

Support your assignment by citing the studies you analyzed. In addition to these specified resources, other appropriate scholarly resources, including older articles, may be included to support your report and any factual assertions you make.

Length: 10-12 pages, including diagrams, but not including title page and references or appendices

References: Include a minimum of 5 scholarly resources

Your presentation should demonstrate thoughtful consideration of the ideas and concepts presented in the course and provide new thoughts and insights relating directly to this topic. Your response should reflect scholarly writing and current APA standards. Be sure to adhere to Northcentral University’s Academic Integrity Policy.

I HAVE ATTACHED TWO EXCEL FILES TOI BE USED TO ANSWER THE ASSIGNMENT

THE FIRST DATASET IS COVID-19 Reported Patient Impact and Hospital Capacity by Facility — RAWHospital
DESCRIPTION

The following dataset provides facility-level data for hospital utilization aggregated on a weekly basis (Friday to Thursday). These are derived from reports with facility-level granularity across two main sources: (1) HHS TeleTracking, and (2) reporting provided directly to HHS Protect by state/territorial health departments on behalf of their healthcare facilities.

The hospital population includes all hospitals registered with Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) as of June 1, 2020. It includes non-CMS hospitals that have reported since July 15, 2020. It does not include psychiatric, rehabilitation, Indian Health Service (IHS) facilities, U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) facilities, Defense Health Agency (DHA) facilities, and religious non-medical facilities.

For a given entry, the term “collection_week” signifies the start of the period that is aggregated. For example, a “collection_week” of 2020-11-20 means the average/sum/coverage of the elements captured from that given facility starting and including Friday, November 20, 2020, and ending and including reports for Thursday, November 26, 2020.

Reported elements include an append of either “_coverage”, “_sum”, or “_avg”.

A “_coverage” append denotes how many times the facility reported that element during that collection week.

A “_sum” append denotes the sum of the reports provided for that facility for that element during that collection week.

A “_avg” append is the average of the reports provided for that facility for that element during that collection week.

THE SECOND DATASET IS COVID-19 Community Vulnerability Crosswalk – Crosswalk by Census Tract

DESCRIPTION
This crosswalk weighs communities down to the census tract with COVID-19 data, considering disease morbidity and mortality, as well as social and economic contextual data. To do this, this spreadsheet crosswalks four key open datasets: Hardest Hit Area, Low Income Area, Tribal Community, and Rural Community, and uses the FCC’s scoring methodology to weigh them to provide an evaluation of the most vulnerable communities in the country.
