Unit I Web Assignment
Search the web for an example of four of the six major types of e-commerce companies described in Section 1.4 of your textbook. The examples that you select should NOT include any of the ones listed in Table 1.3 of your textbook.
Create a written report that describes each e-commerce company (take a screenshot of each, if possible), and explain why each company fits into the category of e-commerce that you have assigned to it. Provide a short description of the history of the company, and illustrate how it was affected by or how it fits into the evolution of e-commerce. Describe the type of e-business used by each company. Include an introduction to your paper.
Your assignment should be a minimum of two pages in length, not counting the title and reference pages. You should have a minimum of four sources (i.e., one for each company), and your assignment should be formatted in APA style. All sources used, including the textbook, must be referenced; paraphrased and quoted material must have accompanying citations.
Unit II Case Study
Select an e-commerce company. Visit the company website or mobile app. In your paper, describe the following features:
• the business model based on the information you find on the website or the app,
• a brief overview of the company,
• the customer value proposition,
• the revenue model,
• the marketspace it operates in,
• who its main competitors are,
• any comparative advantages you believe the company possesses,
• what its market strategy appears to be, and
• information about the company’s management team and organizational structure. (Most company websites contain an “About Us” web page that contains information about the company.)

Unit III PowerPoint Presentation
Choose two countries (excluding the United States), and prepare a presentation that explains their basic Internet infrastructure. Discuss the origins and key technologies behind the Internet for your chosen countries. Include their public and commercial infrastructures and their backbone connectivity to the Internet. Create a graphic illustrating a common or best practices Internet infrastructure, and utilize it in your presentation.
You must elaborate on the information provided on each slide. To do so, you can either utilize the speaker notes function within PowerPoint to summarize and/or explain the slides’ contents, or you can record voice narration for each slide. You are not required to do both, but you must choose one of the two options above to receive full credit.
Your PowerPoint presentation must contain eight to 10 slides; the title and reference slides do not count toward meeting the minimum slide requirement.

Unit IV Case Study
Visit at least three e-commerce web sites, not including those mentioned in Chapter 4. Click here to access the template for this assignment. Using the template, briefly describe each site’s purpose, and examine the effectiveness and performance of the sites according to the eight basic factors, which are listed below:
• functionality,
• informational,
• ease of use,
• redundant navigation,
• ease of purchase,
• multi-browser functionality,
• simple graphics, and
• legible text.
For each site visited, list any recommended performance improvements needed based on your analysis. Include screenshots of each site to support your choices.
All sources used must be referenced; paraphrased and quoted material must have accompanying citations. You will have at least three references to represent the three e-commerce sites that you choose to review.

In your role as a security professional in XYZ company, you have been asked to present a PowerPoint presentation to address cybersecurity challenges the company may face as it plans to expand into global sales. Address the issues below in your presentation.

• Outline the concerns as the company conducts business internationally.
• Describe any governmental compliance needs to which the company needs to adhere.
• How do you protect the organization from repudiation?
• What challenges does the company face with exchange rates for online purchases?
• How are the company’s policies and procedures important in creating the security?

Unit VI Essay
This unit covered many strategies on marketing and advertising for e-commerce sites. As a digital marketing professional, you have been tasked to develop an online campaign for your company’s new apparel, which targets the 18–26 year old young adult market in the United States.
Write a three-page essay on your recommendations of at least six digital marketing advertising strategies (concepts), and explain how each strategy will help the company’s new brand of apparel for young adults. Determine the possible challenges and benefits of online marketing communication. The essay should include an introduction, which presents the main points of the essay.

1. How well do these sites acquire fans, generate engagement, amplify responses, create a community, and strengthen their brands?
2. What recommendations can you make for these sites to improve their effectiveness at a global and local level?
