sources.
3) Your generalizations must be supported by direct citations from the text, class notes,
or instructor’s handouts.
4) Citations should be made in MLA format. Click on HELPFUL LINKS: MLA button

(Approx. 17:50 mins)
Consider Verna Myers message on overcoming bias. How has bias played a role in
US History? Consider what you have learned so far this semester in Unit 01 and
02. Why are multiple perspectives in history needed? What do they teach
students?
Provide at least three clear examples of historical events from Unit 01 and 02 where
diverse perspectives are needed to have a better understanding of historical events.
What effect might diverse perspectives continue to have on future generations?
*Note: Include your Works Cited page on the same document as your essay.
Provide at least 3 specific examples (from Unit 01 and 02) to support your
argument. (The Howard Zinn Textbook counts as one source).
*Note: try to write this in 3rd person Point of View (Scholarly tone): He, She, It,
They. This essay is different than writing a discussion board. You are writing a
research essay exam. Please do not reflect on your own person experiences,
but instead provide examples learned in this History course
